2. What data we process and why
Messages and quote requests
When you send a message or a quote request through the site or by email, we store what you give us: your name, email address, organisation, phone number, message and the options in your request. We also store the campaign source, meaning how you came to the site (for example an ad or another website).
We use this to reply, prepare a quote, organise agreed keynotes and training, and manage the client relationship. The legal basis is taking steps before entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in managing client and partner relationships. We keep the data as long as the matter requires, and no longer than three years after the last contact or the end of an assignment, unless a legal obligation requires longer.
Newsletter
For newsletter subscribers we store the email address, time and page of subscription, and campaign source. You confirm the subscription through a link sent to your email. The newsletter service also records opens and link clicks so we can see what content is of interest; this data is kept as long as you are subscribed. The legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link at the end of every newsletter. After you unsubscribe, your address stays on the newsletter service's suppression list so you are not emailed again by mistake; you can also ask us to remove it.
Site statistics
The site counts its own visits without cookies. For each page view and key click it stores the page, the item clicked, the referring site, campaign source, device type (computer, tablet or mobile), country and page language. To count visitors, it also stores an anonymous identifier made from the IP address and browser details with a random key that changes every day. The key is deleted when the day changes, so the identifier cannot be turned back into an IP address or used to link one visitor’s visits on different days. IP addresses are not stored. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the site. Events are deleted automatically after about 13 months.
Advertising measurement (only with consent)
If you accept marketing cookies, the site loads the Meta Pixel. It tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages you view and whether you send a quote request or message, subscribe to the newsletter or open the booking calendar. This is used to measure ad results and target ads. Meta may link the data to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own terms. If we later start using Google Analytics or Google Ads measurement, they will likewise load only with your consent.
For the Meta Pixel, we and Meta are joint controllers for collecting the data and passing it to Meta (Court of Justice of the EU, Fashion ID, C-40/17). Meta is responsible for its further processing as a separate controller; see Meta's privacy policy.
The legal basis is your consent. If you do not accept cookies, no advertising tracking is loaded.
Automated decision-making
We do not make automated decisions or use profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. Cookies and browser storage
Necessary storage is always on. Marketing cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie notice.

4. Services we use
We do not sell or rent personal data. We use trusted service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.): web hosting, the database for form data and site statistics, and security.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France): newsletter subscriber list and sending.
- Google (Google Ireland Ltd, Ireland): email and client records (Google Workspace) and a video played in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode only when you open it. Google Analytics and Google Ads only with consent.
- Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd): the Meta Pixel, only with consent.
- Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, United States): the Claude AI assistant, which we use to handle messages, quote requests and client records.
- WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.): the publishing platform of the Ajattelun ammattilainen blog. Blog posts and their images are fetched through this site's own server, so your browser does not contact WordPress.com and no data about you is passed to it.
- Hello Performer (Hello Performer Global Oy, Finland): keynote and training bookings are made on Hello Performer, whose own privacy policy covers booking data.
The site's fonts are served from this site's own server, so loading them passes no data to third parties.
5. Transfers outside the EU and EEA
Some providers (Cloudflare, Google, Meta and Anthropic) may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Security
The site uses encrypted HTTPS. Form data is stored in a protected database, and the admin view requires sign-in. The data is handled by Lauri Järvilehto and by the service providers above on his behalf and under his instructions.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- see what data is stored about you and get a copy
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data erased or its processing restricted
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- move the data you gave us to another service
- withdraw your consent at any time (newsletter, marketing cookies). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.
Send requests to [email protected]. We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity.
If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or the authority in your own EU country.
8. Changes
We update this policy when the site or the services we use change. The current version is always on this page.
